Three perspectives on “IT” will guide the workshop:
- The USAID/OIG perspective: LISA MCCLENNON, former Deputy Assistant Inspector General/Investigations USAID and previous enforcement positions in the IG community
- The Compliance practitioner perspective: DR. SHARON FREEMAN, former Compliance officer for a top 10 USAID implementer
- The Auditor perspective: MICHAEL BINDER, Director of the Graduate School, USA Government Audit Training Institute; previously positions in the GAO and Acting Inspector General of the National Endowment for the Arts.
Unique Workshop Approach: Learning modules and group work will be based on carefully selected “Significant Findings” cases of USAID OIG’s Semi-Annual Report to Congress (SARCs), which demonstrate how the top 10 “IT” problems play out in real life. The workshop team will guide participants in applying the 5Ps to prevent such “significant findings”.
